- This 30-line poem includes 9 stepped lines, revealing Delgado's use of the carriage return on his typewriter to format his line breaks. Beyond the title, which is in all CAPS, the rest of the poem does not use capital letters in any instance. He writes of a couple whose eight month relationship suddenly ends through a metaphor linking the break up to an accidental death. While he seems complacent and accepting of its end without explanation, in his closing six lines, evokes a desire to reminisce about the joy they shared and speculative and even hopeful that something beautiful grows from the death of that relationship. Afixed to the bottom of the page is a photographic image of a man's hand reaching toward's a woman's hip. They face one another my neither's faces are visible.
